Zakir Khan is a Mumbai-based Hindi-Urdu stand-up comedian originally from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where he grew up in a family of classical musicians. He broke through in 2012 by winning Comedy Central's India's Best Stand Up, and went on to popularise the Sakht Launda catchphrase. His shayari-tinged storytelling style has been showcased across five Amazon Prime Video specials: Haq Se Single, Kaksha Gyarvi, Tathastu, Mannpasand and Delulu Express. He has headlined arenas across India and toured extensively in the UK, US and the Gulf, and remains one of the most popular Hindi-language comics of his generation.
