Varun Thakur is a Mumbai-based stand-up comedian, actor and writer who has been performing since around 2012. He works mostly in English and is known for switching between anecdotal stand-up, character bits and sketch, most famously through his on-stage alter ego Vicky Malhotra, a hapless struggling actor. Thakur was a founding member of the comedy collective SnG Comedy alongside Kautuk Srivastava, Neville Shah and others, before leaving the group in 2019. He maintains an active YouTube channel, has appeared in Indian films and web shows, and tours regularly in India and abroad.
