Varun Grover is a Mumbai-based stand-up comedian, lyricist, screenwriter and filmmaker known for blending political satire with literary sensibility. He won the National Film Award for Best Lyricist for Dum Laga Ke Haisha and has written songs and screenplays for films including the Gangs of Wasseypur series, Masaan, Udta Punjab and Badhaai Do. On stage he co-founded the political comedy collective Aisi Taisi Democracy alongside Sanjay Rajoura and Rahul Ram, and his stand-up special Nothing Makes Sense brought his observational, dissent-driven voice to a wider streaming audience.
