Sharon Verma is a Mumbai-based stand-up comedian and writer originally from Bihar who shot to wider attention through her appearance on Samay Raina's India's Got Latent. Her set, riffing on her name, Bihari identity, consent and the joke of being a weak independent woman, went viral and helped her cross hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers despite only a few months on the stand-up circuit. Before going full-time into comedy, she worked as a senior creative executive at Disney+ Hotstar on Indian film titles. She now performs regularly at clubs across Mumbai.
