Shamik Chakrabarti is a stand-up comedian originally from Kolkata and now based in Bengaluru, with a voice shaped by years of working in the United States before he picked up the mic. He came to comedy late, after his masters and a corporate stint abroad, and built a reputation in Bengaluru's open-mic rooms with alternative-leaning material, improv and sketch work. He has been seen on Comicstaan and on Gursimran Khamba's panel show The Nation Wants to Guess, and toured his debut solo special Despite Appearances through Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre London, alongside specials like City Life and Dentally Disturbed on YouTube.
