Saaniya Abbas is a stand-up comedian and art director who grew up in Delhi, schooled in a Himalayan convent and turned to comedy in Dubai after a divorce reset her life. She built an early audience hosting live videos through the pandemic, and now tours stand-up in India, the UK and the United States. Her work pulls from cultural taboos around divorce, the strangeness of internet fame, and a sharp, mischievous on-stage persona. Her hour Hellarious played the Edinburgh Fringe, and she has performed at The Stand and Soho Theatre, while continuing club dates through Mumbai and other Indian cities.
