Manjeet Sarkar is an Indian stand-up comedian and filmmaker who grew up in a village in eastern India and has built a career around honest, political comedy about caste, class and rural life. Performing in Hindi and English since 2018, he tours nationally and abroad, with sets that move between bitter satire and personal storytelling. His specials Democrazy and the bit Dalit's Gangajal have travelled widely on YouTube, and he directed the documentary Untouchable: Laughing Out Caste, which has been screened at venues including the Bangalore International Centre and the Fox Theatre in Toronto.
