Malaya Ranjan Parida is a Bhubaneswar-based stand-up comedian who performs in Odia and has helped put the language's stand-up scene on the map. A Ph.D. scholar by background, he leans into observational humour drawn from childhood memories, small-town life and everyday Odia references. He posts regularly on YouTube, with sets covering bus stands, family, music and food, and he has appeared on Comedy Capsules on the OTT platform AAO NXT. Alongside other emerging Odia comics, he performs at independent rooms across Odisha and is steadily growing an online following.
