Maheep Singh is a Delhi-based stand-up comedian, playwright and lyricist often billed as the Gujarati Sardar for his hybrid cultural voice. Born in Patiala in 1975, he came to stand-up in 2013 after nearly two decades as a translator and copyeditor, making his debut on the Delhi open-mic scene. He once shared Comedy Central's Best Stand-up Comedian honour with Zakir Khan and went on to found the New Delhi Comedy Club, where he also curates humour festivals. His style favours punchy lines, deadpan delivery and gentle satire built around everyday observations.
