Biswa Kalyan Rath is a Mumbai-based stand-up comedian, writer and actor who first broke through with the 2014 YouTube series Pretentious Movie Reviews, co-hosted with Kanan Gill, in which the pair skewered widely panned Bollywood films. Rath has since released two Amazon Prime Video specials, Biswa Mast Aadmi and Sushi, and was one of the main mentors on the Amazon original Comicstaan, helping launch a generation of younger Indian comedians. His style mixes deadpan storytelling with absurd, hyper-specific tangents, and he has performed over a thousand shows across India and abroad.
