Ashish Shakya is a Mumbai-based stand-up comedian and comedy writer who walked away from an engineering degree to write jokes full time. He spent years co-writing the CNN-IBN satire The Week That Wasn't with Cyrus Broacha and ran a long-standing weekly humour column in the Hindustan Times. As a founding member of AIB, he contributed to landmark projects including AIB Knockout and On Air with AIB. He performs largely in English with an observational style, has written for the Filmfare Awards and major brands, and his debut stand-up special Life Is Good streams on Amazon Prime Video.
