Appurv Gupta, who performs as GuptaJi, is a Delhi-based Hinglish stand-up comedian regarded as one of the early popularisers of Hindi stand-up in India. A Jaypee Institute engineering graduate, he turned his middle-class engineer's lens on dating, Indian families and the economy in solo shows like Laugh with an Engineer, Appurview and RelationShip Or RelationShit. He has played over a thousand shows for audiences from IIT campuses to corporates like Airtel and Adobe, ranked among CNN-IBN's top Indian stand-ups in 2014, and was a Forbes India 100 Celebrity nominee in 2015.
